Events in Brevard County

It’s going to be warm ahead of the cold front that is working its way through Florida right now. Expect the line of storms to pass through north Brevard around noon and then the rest of the county over the next hour or two. How much rain will we see? The front is moving pretty quick, so it’s not likely to be much, but there could be some strong storms as the front approaches. Then things cool right back down tomorrow before warming back up into the mid 70’s by this weekend.

Here’s today’s opportunity for all small business owners in Brevard County to let our audience know about them. Comment below and this post will be pinned to the top of our page until we do it all over again tomorrow.  Clikc on the image below to see those businesses.

Something you might not think about when it comes to maintaining your vehicle is the differential and if you tow with your vehicle, it’s especially important to get it inspected and have that fluid changed on a regular basis.  Click the image below for more info.

Some serious yuck on 95 this morning.

Yes we’re working on streamlining the content on this page a bit in order to hopefully stay out of the crosshairs of the folks that like to limit what we can post.
Over the next couple weeks as we finish up 2024, we will be utilizing all of our social media streams to provide content to every audience and there will be content that is exclusive to each platform. We’re also going to be cutting down on the “extra” posts like events and news on this page to trim the amount of posts that are put up each day.
You might think that you should be getting a little grumpy because of all of this, but there’s no need. All of the information we share on social media AND plenty of other things will all be listed o nthe new Destination Brevard Daily Update pages on our website (that will be shared on this page each day).
If you’re one of the people who won’t do anything extra, like clicking over to a website (how archaic!) or to visit someone’s social media account on another social media platform, then yes you will be missing out on some of the information you’re used to seeing.
This is all being done for three reasons, (because we never know when this social media platform might not allow us to post content, we know that this social media platform continues to make it more difficult for the public to see information from the pages they follow and yes, to start building up the audience for every social media platform we’re on) and yes the end game is to NOT be so dependent on a single social media platform to reach you.
The easiest thing by far will be to visit those daily update pages each day, but we sure wouldn’t mind you following us on all of our social media platforms. And yes you really should sign up to receive our emails.
I spy Someguysebikes on Wickham Road in West Melbourne while I’m stuck in traffic and if you’re shopping for a new e-bike, stop by! They offer two years of parts and service on each of their bikes.
I am still of the belief that being able to grab a rotisserie chicken at any of the three giant corporate discount stores (BJ’s Wholesale ClubCostco and Sam’s Club) is worth the cost of a basic membership since you can feed your family for $5 every single day. It’s because of the savings I get from filling up my obnoxious green cars with premium gas that allows me to have memberships at all three though ($10 on average per fill up means those membership fees are eaten up in just a couple months).
That cold front is coming and we’ll see if there’s more than just a couple minutes of rain from it later this afternoon. There could be some small but intense thunderstorms ahead of it as well.
Stop by the Cocoa Beach Fish Camp Grill today for lunch or dinner and get $10 off your order of ribs!
This is a great idea The Copper Dog!!!
BTW, The Copper Dog is a locally owned all service dog groomer located on US1 in Melbourne and you can click over to their page for more info.

Looks great Coasters Pub & Biergarten!

Coming up this Saturday at The Sweet Heartist on Wickham Road in Suntree with Galaxy Macarons!

Literally me looking outside at the few drops of rain that fell in my yard….

Yes American Killer Bees Fitness on Babcock St. in Melbourne has classes for your kiddos in addition to their adult classes! Click over to their page and website for more info.

The news of the day is the supposed closing of Downtown Produce on Ellis Road in Melbourne. I cannot confirm whatever might be happening (whether they are selling the market like they did the wholesale side years ago or if it’s simply closing down. What I will say that if they are closing, this is a huge hit for many residents when it comes to getting all of the items they’ve carried for so many years. This business isn’t one that will ever be replaced.

Getting in a few dinner spotlights for you this evening. Starting clockwise from the top right: a bunch of boneless wings from Big Shot Bob’s House of Wings – Cape Canaveral, FL, some fried chicken from Sunrise Diner on 520 in Cocoa Beach, a platter of yummy seafood from Melbourne Seafood Station in Downtown Melbourne but there’s also Melbourne Seafood Station West Melbourne on Palm Bay Road and a gyro wrap from Al Baik Kabob & Gyro House on Sarno Road in Melbourne.
Now who else just got hungry?
I mean, is it ever a bad time to stop by any of the three Whit’s Melbourne locations (Downtown Melbourne, Viera or West Melbourne)?

Daaaaaang The Original Bizzarro famous NY pizza, that looks good.

I sure hope this isn’t somebody’s grand idea that ends up really screwing things up.  Click on the image to read more.

If you’re looking to have your vehicle look as good as it possibly can, it’s time to have a chat with Stick to the Details Auto Detailing in West Melbourne. All you have to do is take a look at some of the examples of their work on their page to see that they are worth speaking to.
