Taking a look at today’s forecast which is brought to you by
3LP Roofing and yes the next cold front is pushing through Brevard County this morning. Consider yourself lucky if your lawn sees any rain as the front passes by and it’s not going to get a whole lot warmer than it is right now as we’re seeing temps in the low to mid 60’s and we’re only expecting ot see those temps get up into possibly the upper 60’s this afternoon.
Things will be cooling back off for the upcoming week and it looks like it’ll be next weekend before we see daytime high’s back up into the 70’s.
Did you know that the record high for today is 87 and that was set back in 1975. The record low for today is 26 and that was set in 1982.
Thankfully both of those records aren’t in any danger of being broken!
Start your Saturday off with a breakfast sandwich at
Mel’s Tiki Cafe on A1A in beachside Melbourne!
Juice ‘N Java Cafe on N. Orlando Ave. in Downtown Cocoa Beach is ready to make breakfast for you this morning!
Needing that first cup of coffee of the day? Then stop by locally owned

A Cozy Pineapple is located right on the Indian River along Pineapple Ave. in Melbourne and you don’t have to worry about it being too chilly to hop in the pool as they keep it heated!
If you’re wanting a local weekend getaway or you have guests coming to town, click over and check this place out.
Is your pup needing a new groomer?
The Copper Dog is a full service groomer located on US1 in Melbourne right beside
Del’s Freez so you can go grab a treat while your pup is getting groomed.
Stop by the Melbourne Auditorium on Hibiscus Blvd. in Melbourne this weekend for the Melbourne Home Show! We’ll be heading over there are the vendors finish setting up for a couple of live videos.
Needing to get some items shipped? Skip the lines and stop by locally owned
Courier mail + market on Stack Blvd. in Melbourne!
It’s going to be a great wekeend for throwing something in the smoker or on the grill (especially if you’re entertaining for the NFL playoff games), so stop by
Wassis Meats on Wickham Road in Melbourne for the absolute largest selection of meats in Brevard.
As of right now,
Blue Origin is still on track to attempt that launch of their first
#NewGlenn rocket from SLC-36 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and the window opens at 1 a.m. tonight. Is it just me or are you wishing they’d finally pick a different time instead of sticking to the middle of the night?
If things continue to progress toward that launch attempt, expect huge crowds along the beaches and at
Port Canaveral as this huge rocket will for sure put on a show whenever it does get off the ground.
You can always stay up to date with upcoming launches on the (you guessed it) Upcoming Launches page on our website.

Whether you’re just stopping by
The Dinosaur Store & Museum on 520 in Cocoa Beach to check out the store on the first floor, or you’re exploring the museum on the 2nd and 3rd floors (a ticket is required for that) or you’re letting the kiddos have some fun in the Adventure Zone (a ticket is also required for that), it’s a place everyone in Brevard County needs to visit at some point.
Coming to you live from the Melbourne Auditorium where the Melbourne Home Show is going on all weekend! Let’s take a look!
Elevation Contractors and painting321 are set up at the Melbourne Home Show at the Melbourne Auditorium all weekend long so swing by and let them tell you what they can do for you!
We’re back at the Melbourne Home Show which is going on all weekend long at the Melbourne Auditorium and we’re at the DC Roofing booth where they’d like to see you stop by to set up a quote if you’re looking at getting a new roof this year.
Coming to you live from the Downtown Melbourne Farmer’s Market at Riverview Park where there are a couple dozen local vendors set up until 2 and it might be cloudy, but the rain is all gone so come on by.
Time for a quick Brevard County Beachcast and our beachcasts are always brought to you by Longboard House at the corner of A1A and 5th Ave. in Indialantic.
I had honestly forgotten about
Cocinacafefl ’s new locations inside the
Melbourne Square Mall so I figured that I should stop in to pick up lunch just because. It’s basically a miniature version of their location on Malabar Road in Palm Bay and at the
Thrifty Specialty Produce & Meats locations inn Palm Bay and Rockledge.
Garage Doors Guaranteed is set up for the Melbourne Home Show this weekend at the Melbourne Auditorium and if you’re needing a garage door replaced or repaired or even a new garage door opener installed , here’s your guy!
Now this is not a “track” event where you’re running the tri-oval or road course as fast as you can go. For these events you are out with a large group of vehicles taking a couple of escorted laps and no you’re not going up on the high banks. You’re supposed to keep your speed around 55 mph while you’re on the track (I’m not going to tell you how you can cheat a little bit, but don’t regret being the last person in the group).
As long as your vehicle can go 55 mph, you can take it. Heck, I had a minivan in front of me one time.
If you’ve ever wanted to take your vehicle around the entire road course at Daytona and yes to see just how steep those high bank turns really are as you look up at them as you drive along the apron, this event is for you.
Oh, and when you’re driving around, think about how nutty it is blasting around those high banks at 150 mph+ in a car with no cage (no internal roll bars) protecting you for 30 laps like I did two springs ago in the newer obnoxious green car. Click on the image for more info.
The sun’s trying to peek out, but it’s still kinda soupy feeling out there so stop by any of the three
The Soup Shop locations (on Wickham Roadi n Melbourne, on Lake Andrew Dr. in Viera or on Palm Bay Road in West Melbourne) to pick up some soup, a sandich or even a salad for lunch today!
Needing your pavers cleaned and sealed? Give @Triton Brite Exterior Solutions LLC. a call.
The
JUICY BUNZ truck is set up on Bayside Lakes Blvd. in Palm Bay today and tomorrow for lunch and dinner! Stop by for one of their amazing burgers!
Okay OSU fans, stop by
Scoop ‘N Roll (located in the Publix shopping center at the corner of Lake Washington and Wickham in Melbourne) for some homemade buckeye brownies!
Had the opportunity to try out
Piesanos in Viera as the get ready to open up next week.
This Florida based company started up in Gainesville feeding slices to hungry UF students and they’ve been able to expand into Central Florida. Good pies, and they’re kind of their own thing as far as the crust. That means if you’re a New Yorker looking for a pie like you grew up having in your neighborhood, don’t go complaining that it’s not a New Yorker pie. It’s a Gainesville Florida pie with a lot of NYC influence and it works. This place will probably be packed every day once it opens because it’s dang close to thousands of homes with a couple thousand homes still to be built on the southwest side of Viera.
**Update- No launch tonight. They are loooing at tomorrow night now.**
All seems to be moving ahead for tonight’s Blue Origin’s
#NewGlenn test flight tonight at this point (the window opens at 1 a.m.). Once it does get off the ground, it’ll be the third largest rocket to ever lift off from the #s
NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administrationecently the SLS rocket NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration used in 2023 for the
#Artemis I mission being larger and more powerful. Yes of course whenever
#SpaceX is able to start launching their massive
#Starship Superheavy rockets here, that’ll change things completely.
For now, get ready to enjoy one heck of a show, even if it doesn’t happen tonight. But when they do figure out this whole launching rockets into orbit and landing them thing, it’s going to be even more exciting to have a front row seat for launches.

Awesome job @Allen White!!! BTW, he’s one of many Virginia Beach transplants that have happily made Brevard County their home over the past few decades! And yes one of the old boards you might see in the Destination Brevard In Your Face videos from my office is one he made back in the mid 80’s!
While cleaning your pavers is nice, protecting them to keep them looking great is even better and
Rising Tide Paver Sealing can take care of that.
