Coming up on New Year’s Eve at Big Daddy J’s 5 Great Things Watering Station And Restaurant on A1A in Cocoa Beach.
Look for an afternoon high in the mid 70’s today and there’s a decent chance for some showers and possibly even a few thunderstorms (rain is a good thing during the dry season). We’ve still got a couple more days of warm weather to end the year and then things will cool off for a bit.
There are some pages throwing information out there that we could see morning lows well below freezing in a couple weeks and just like we do during hurricane season, we’re not going to be posting “what ifs” two weeks out when the professionals aren’t predicting it. You’re free to believe anything you want to when you see it online, but I’ll simply wait to see how things play out as we get closer. Starting a new year with a bunch of sensationlist weather garbage is not what you’ll see on this page.
Yes you can place your order online for breakfast, lunch or your favorite beverage at
Juice ‘N Java Cafe on N. Orlando Ave. in Downtown Cocoa Beach!
Get creative at
MyMakerScape on 5th Ave. in Indialantic today during their Open Makery!
Stop by
Wassis Meats today, tomorrow or on Tuesday before 2 to stock up as they will be closed on New Years Day and the following day (Thursday). They will be back open on Friday just in time for next weekend.
We posted about this last week…. No Sunday lunch at the
Buddhist Thai Temple today. They’ll be back next Sunday.
Speaking of the
Buddhist Thai Temple, they have this event coming up next month and it’s always great to see things from the perspective of others so that you can better understand those around you.
Literally me waiting for the fireworks to start up (and I’m surprised they haven’t started already) tonight and for the next few nights. And yes you have every right to light off your fireworks here in Florida on New Year’s Eve since it’s legal to do so on several holidays. It’s just that everyone also gets to deal with them a couple days before and a couple days after too, and there you go.
Space Coast Tent Sleepovers offers some pretty cool options for your kiddos when they want to have friends over for the night! Click over to see what all they offer.
Okay, looking for a new year’s resolution? How about making an effort to try the frozen custard at one of the three
Whit’s Melbourne locations (in Downtown Melbourne, on Minton Road in West Melbourne behind
Long Doggers and on Stadium Pkwy. in Viera in the shopping center where the new
Publix is).
Going on this afternoon and evening in Viera!
Oh yeah,
#elonmusk and Co. at
#SpaceX have another launch to get under their belt before 2024 ends and it’s a
#Starlink launch tonight from SLC-39A at
NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The window opens at 3:03 a.m. and the first stage of this
#Falcon9 has already launched and landed 15 times already! That first stage will land on a barge in the Atlantic where it’ll make its way back to
Port Canaveral to be used again. If it does get off the ground tonight, it will be the last launch from the
#spacecoast in this record setting year.
Space news and updates are brought to you by
Launch Credit Union.
Stop by Melbourne’s 50’s themed ice cream shop
Scoop ‘N Roll (located in the Publix shopping center at the corner of Lake Washington and Wickham in Melbourne) for an after dinner treat!
Doesn’t even matter if it’s the people driving who rush through the lot without stopping for the pedestrians or the pedestrians who don’t care about the people they walk in front of.
Civility seems to be a thing of the past.
When you come home from the store and see that someone (who shall remain unnamed since I don’t feel like sleeping in the camper for the next week) has broken out the Valentine’s Day decorations since all of the Christmas decorations are in the process of being put up. And this is after I just made fun of stores putting up Valentine’s and Easter stuff out before it was even Christmas.
Even worse is the fact that the first words out of my mouth were “That’s all we have?”…
That line of rain held together and talk about a much needed and long lasting bout of wet stuff!!! Hopefully none of the storms get too bad, but this rain is making my lawn go…….
