Okay, time for a quick update on the tropics.
Yes there’s an area of disturbed weather that the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center is keeping an eye on and it’s sitting just to the south of us.
The bad news is that it’s getting better organized and it does look like it’s going to stand a pretty good chance of getting stronger.
The good news is that it’s expected to be north of us before that happens and it could be well out to sea and not affect anyone.
Like we posted yesterday, anytime there’s a system that could affect us in any way, we’ll post occasional updates and when there’s something hovering around the Gulf Stream, it will always get a little extra attention because that super warm water can do some funny things to tropical systems.
We’ll update again this evening or as needed and as of now there’s not even really an increased chance for rain for Brevard County from this. Although there could be some rip current warnings going up over the next day or so.
