Time for a quick evening check of the tropics since things have piked up a bit.
First, the disturbance that is figuring out what to do just off the southeast coast of Florida is still expected to head up the Gulf Stream and then out into the ocean but it could form into a tropical depression as it passes us. All that means for us is the possibility for some rain bands to come onshore through the weekend and a higher risk for rip currents. No biggie at this time.
Second, the other disturbance that’s heading toward the Caribbean is a week and a half away from figuring out if, what, when and where it’s going so we’ll just keep an eye on it for now.
