Went for a couple laps around the road course at Daytona International Speedway today thanks to The NASCAR Foundation’s License to Drive event. The cost was $50 (all of which went to the foundation) for a pair of paced laps. Below is some unedited video from the laps.
You head out in groups of 25 and you’ll see pretty much all types of vehicles going out since the speed limit is capped at 55 mph (you can milk more out of it if you’re careful), and that speed makes sure you’re not going around the high banks in the big turns.
This was my second time at one of these events and I’ll be back again.
