The southwest corner of Florida consists of Lee, Glades, Hendry, Collier and Monroe counties and you’ll find some of the best shelling beaches on the planet along the coast of the Gulf as well as some of the most pristine native inland areas in the entire state. Home to a large percentage of the Florida panther population and massive undeveloped areas once you get away from the coastline and the Fort Myers/Naples area. This region also includes the Florida Keys as they are part of Monroe County. Although you have to go through you have to go through Miami Dade County to get there by land.
