Need a quick and easy recipe for a pot of chili on a chilly (or any) evening?  This will do in a pinch.


  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1 can pinto beans (or whatever type of bean you prefer to use)
  • 2 cans of Hunt’s fire roasted diced tomatoes with garlic
  • 1 bottle of your favorite beer
  • 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons of Lizano Sauce
  • 3/4 cup of diced onion
  • 3/4 cup of diced green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons smoked sea salt
  • one pack of your favorite chili seasoning


  • get your slow cooker set on low heat and spray inside lightly with non-stick cooking spray
  • brown bell pepper and onion then add to the slow cooker
  • brown the ground chuck (don’t drain the fat) and add to the slow cooker
  • add the rest of the ingredients to the slow cooker, cover it and let it cook for 2-3 hours
  • enjoy!
